PRE-PRIMARY TEACHER TRAINING

Pre-primary education is critical for establishing a solid foundation for a child‘s social, emotional and overall well-being. The early years of a child‘s life build the basis for lifelong growth, and children who fall behind in these early years often never catch up with their peers, leaving them more likely to drop out of school and fail to reach their full potential. Though there are varying standards, pre-primary educational programs are typically designed for children 3 to 5 years of age.

ELIGIBILITY

Candidates fulfilling the following requirements will be considered eligible for admission into the course. The candidate should have:

• Admission only for women
•  Completed 18 years
• SSLC Passed

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

Applications must be submitted with all enclosures. To be considered for admission you need to submit the following:

• Application Form duly filled in and signed by the applicant with photo affixed.
• Attested Copies of all educational documents.

SYLLABUS AND EXAMINATIONS

PART I – THEORY

The written theory examination will consist of five papers.

Paper I – Method of Teaching and Child Education

Paper II – Child Nursing and Psychology.

Paper III – Pre-School Organasation.

Paper IV – Nutrition & Welfare of Pre-School Child.

Paper V – General English & General knowledge.

PART II- PRACTICAL

The practical examination will consist:

I. Teaching and Lesson Plan Records.

II. Teaching Aids, Art & Craft.

III. Albums, Library works and Assignment.

IV. Viva voce, Co-Curricular Activities & Social work.

The practical examination will consist of the demonstration of the use of the Teaching Aids after which students will have to answer questions relating to the Teaching Aids.

The students’ eligibility for the examination will depend on the following

• A minimum 80% attendance.
• Punctual submission of work.
• Satisfactory performance in the periodic test during the course.
• Completion of required hours of School Teaching Practice
