DIPLOMA IN MONTESSORI TEACHER TRAINING

The Montessori method of education is a system of education for children that seeks to develop natural interests and activities rather than use formal teaching methods. It was developed by physician Maria Montessori. It emphasizes independence and it views children as naturally eager for knowledge and capable of initiating learning in a sufficiently supportive and well-prepared learning environment.

ELIGIBILITY

Candidates fulfilling the following requirements will be considered eligible for admission into the course. The candidate should have:

  • Admission only for women.
  • Completed 18 years.
  • Plus Two Passed.
ADMISSION PROCEDURE
  • Applications must be submitted with all enclosures. To be considered for admission you need to submit the following:
  • Application Form duly filled in and signed by the applicant with photo affixed.
  • Attested Copies of all educational documents.
SYLLABUS AND EXAMINATIONS

PART I – THEORY

The written theory examination will consist of five papers.

Paper I – The Montessori Method of Teaching.

Paper II– Child Nursing and Psychology.

Paper III– Pre-School Organasation.

Paper IV– Nutrition & Welfare of Pre-School Child.

Paper V– General English & General knowledge.

PART II- PRACTICAL

The practical examination will consist:

  1. Montessori Apparatus Training.
  2. Exercises of Practical Life
  3. Exercises of Sensorial
  4. Exercises of Language
  5. Exercises of Mathematics
  6. Exercises of Geography, Botany, Zoology, and History.
  7. Teaching and Lesson Plan Records.

III. Teaching Aids, Art & Craft.

  1. Albums, Library works and Assignment.
  2. Viva voce, Co-Curricular Activities & Social work.

The practical examination will consist of the demonstration of the use of the apparatus after which students will have to answer questions relating to the apparatus.

The students’ eligibility for the examination will depend on the following

  • A minimum 80% attendance
  • Punctual submission of work
  • Satisfactory performance in the periodic test during the course
AWARD OF THE DIPLOMA

WHRDE awards The Diploma in Montessori / Pre-Primary Teachers Training. It qualifies the holder to work with children in a Montessori / Pre-Primary environment between 3 and 6 + years of age. It is a great asset to those who wish to open their own schools. This is also certified that the Diploma holder is eligible to impart education based on Montessori principles and practice of children 3 to 6+ years of age.

JOB PLACEMENTS ASSISTANCE

Many of our students are in good teaching positions in schools all over India and abroad. The demand for Montessori trained teachers is large and even ordinary schools prefer to take Montessori qualified teachers for their pre-school division.
